Is everyone from Canberra going to be there?
I think Joel has got time off, I have the friday off to help set up and also afternoons from 4 leading up to it.
Jack, or any of the guys from Telopea, do you want to spread the word? It is on at Stromlo on Saturday 2 December.
I'm probably going to try and ride this coming Sunday (26th) afternoon, or very very early morning at some rocks (Hawker? Hindmarsh?) to learn to balance on natural for the comp. Canberra has to dominate Sydney.

Canberra does dominate Sydney, Howard won't live here so that says heaps in our favour. I'll tell the guys over here, have we got a poster to putr up or that I can distribute, I'll do my best, cheers Jack

Great, just in B/W, would do I told some guys at lunch, and said I would get the details soon. If there is anovice comp, maybe Tuesday we could do a few things that one might expect to find on such a course. Then they could feel confident in entering, cheers jack.

Nice idea. I won't be available on Tuesday unfortunately but just let the guys know and I'm sure they can set up some obstacles that would imitate a Novice section. I honestly think that ALL of the people I saw at Telopea could do VERY well in Novice.
I guess the only discouraging aspect of entering would be the fee, which I'm guessing is $30. It is worth the price though and you could win a prize and you will get to gain a lot of experience and ride all the stuff once the competition is over.
Will you enter Jack?

Jeez your'e a wag Alex. Entering would ensure a good crowd, like the baying masses who crowd around the bridge at the bottom of the switchbacks at the Scont 24. Bound to be crashes and blood. I like your style.

I will be attending the BC but not competing - I would rather save my energy for setting up/scoring and for racing the polaris the next day. Plus I'm too broke to pay the fee...
I am happy to come out on the thursday and friday to set up, but can't bring anything. I presume Craig has been contracted to organise things including delivery of things.

Craig, I've talked to the lads at school about the BC, maybe whoever turns up tomorrow can give them some idea of what they would have to do on a novice run.

canberratrials.com/BC.gifThere you go Jack. I had to whip it up in a hurry so it's quite lame, but it should do the job. It's designed to print A4 but doesn't seem to work so well from a browser window. I had to shrink it to 28% for it to fit on the page. If you have photoshop there then bring it into that and print and it will do a nice job!
