hs11 is outdated by about 10 years. You would have great trouble finding one. The short-lived hs22 sperseded it, followed by the hs 33.

HS11 is actually still in production. It has just always been the budget version of maguras rim brakes. Originally it was the same as HS22 but had plastic lever and steel hardware where the HS22 had Alloy bolts and Alloy lever. Later when the HS33 came out in around 98 or 99 the HS11 got an alloy lever blade and a plastic composite body. It also retained the 16mm piston where as the HS33 gained a 14mm piston for more power and the TPA knob. The HS22 was very long lived actually and was maguras original brake the "raceline" and came in the very cool raceline yellow colour. The short lived brake your thinking of is probably the HS24 which stood somewhere between the 11 and 22 for a few years.
Anyway moral of this story is what year HS11's do you have Jacky? I dont have any HS 11's but I have a few old John Tomac edition hs33 levers laying around which could get you back out riding.

You know your stuff Andre, they, are still made, but are a bit xxy. My mechanic told me that the hs33's were not compatible otherwise I would have taken you up on your very kind offer. I think it's because of the differing sizes of the pistons. The brake is, as you described, a plastic body, it's on a rhino 26''. Thanks for trying, cheers Jack

All magura slave cylinders are actually the same size 14mm pistons. It is just the master cylinder in the lever that changed. All levers are interchangeable with all slaves throughout the entire range. Unless magura has changed their hose connections between the 33 and 11's in the last 2 years there is no reason they wont fit. The other thing you can do is run a right hand lever upside down on the left. Because it is a closed system it does not make a difference other than the way it looks.

The supply of hs 11's has now been halted even though they are still in the current Magura brochure, so your'e spot on Andre the hs33's work fine, cheers Jack

Hi Jack,
When do you need the brake by? I know where they are its just kind of hard to get to and i'm pretty busy with uni for the next week. Let me know and I'll find some time to pull it out. PS they are the older type larger levers that I have. You can borrow one indefinately.
cheers

Andre that's really kind of you. I'm at your service as far as time goes as it's you that's doing me the favour. The bike is in at TLC and I've told them to wait for news. They are cool with that so whenever it suits you let me know. Thanks so much, cheers Jack
