Just had some random tech type questions:
1. how do eyelets on rims help?
2. what is the traditional wheelbase for a mod, and how long are the koxx mods?
3. im pretty short, like 5'7" so if i where to get a koxx, whould i be disadvantaged by getting the longer length rather than the not quite so long one?
that is all, cya

eyelets on rims disperse the force from the spoke nipples over a larger area, as well as providing a thicker point for the nipples to mount on. They help to prevent the spokes from "pulling through" at high spoke tension and make higher spoke tension possible.
the koxx mods are 1000 and 1035 mm in wheelbase. I'm considering buying a 1035mm one when I go to France next year - I'm about 6' tall. I think long bikes are great, but you might find the short mod better. It's still way longer than the "traditional" BIU geometry (monty). But other companies are moving to longer mods as well, like onza and megamo. I think you need to assess your riding style first - long bikes ride differently.
