this one is for joel mainly, what are my chances of being able to run a 48mm rear rim on my pure frame, with a magura?

well I think Alexx is your best bet to answer that. I believe the levelboss mounts are ~5-10mm wider than the pure mounts but you should get him to measure to make sure, and then see how much clearance he has. I ran a 47mm try-all rim in the pure frame with no trouble at all so it should be OK.

if i were to go for a PX superlight fork what length would you recommend, 400mm or 425mm?

400mm for trials, 425mm for "other" things and suspension corrected frames. I have a 400mm one. In white. I have no immediate plans for it. You can come have a look if you like. Alexx proves that they're easy to repaint.

picked up my frame & pedals today. looks like the echo rim will just fit, and the BB may be wide enough for the middleburns and 22T ring with a spacer, will all be close though.
so at this stage i have frame, temporary fork (just to make it look bikey and keep headset together) stem, BB, headset, rear brake, pedals, short term front wheel (sharing with jump bike, will eventually get one for just trials use). pretty much everything except rear wheel, cranks, bars and proper fork. so there is a chance i will be finished in time for the BC, maybe. at this stage i think i'll run it SS with 22:18 ratio.
looking forward to getting this thing up and running, seeing what all this fuss about stock bikes is.

awesome - if you wanted to borrow anything of mine - with options to buy - you can do that just fine. Better that stuff is being used than sitting in my garage. Running a v-brake on the front?

i will be running a front v-brake but do not currently have one.
rear wheel parts are 3-4 weeks away, waiting on echo rims. i have s ome cranks i can use temproarily until i get the middleburns so it looks like i may eb able to ride the BC, will be close though
