I've almost got everything for the build of my BT Raven 5.0 and was just wondering what chain would be the best to put on.
thanks

kmc koolchain or sachs (sram) pc41? if you plan on changing gears. Just replace the later regularly

your bike is in at the shop now I think James. The KMC Koolchain model 710 (3/32") is the best for SS setups, but if you're running a cassette of gears (I think you are) a SRAM pc48 (you're a bit behind the times Andre ) would be a good cheap bet. - Joel

Thanks once again Joel, Yep that's my Raven that I dropped in this morning at Mal's. I've got a cassette so I guess I'll go for the SRAM.

the KMC may work, but it will be a bit of a gamble. The extra plate width and pin length may not work with the 7/8 speed (?) cassette on there. If you're going for a SRAM I'd recommend replacing the master link which comes with it. Either use a Wipperman link (strong) or just use a shimano pin. The SRAM powerlinks are great, I use them on other bikes, but the torque of trials pulls them apart pretty quickly. Catastrophically too. "Catastrophically" is a word to avoid when you're riding trials.

I think I'll go with the SRAM and the Wipperman link. Do you know if Mals have the chain/link in stock?

chain yes, link maybe. Won't be in there until later in the week.
