We look at the differences from a mototrial bike and a biketrial bike, the difference aside from the engine is the suspension, having a suspension on a mototrial bike works as a spring to jump up or forward, but most importantly the reduce the impact on landing.
In biketrial, any reason for having a suspension could be only credited to having a suspension sponsor. Theat is the only reason why suspension is used.
Having a suspension not only reduces the force you put in when jumping, it actually has a unstable effect when you need to put your front wheel on an obstacle higher than that of the back wheel. The situation is worse when the opposite occurs.
The reason for having suspension forks is to reduce the impact on landing, i'd say go to gym and work those quads of yours, they're the best suspension that came with our existence. Cesar Canas, Ot Pi uses them, why not you?

the other reason to run them, which is a big reason for atleast ryan leech to run them is screwed up wrists.

i would have thought that the bounce of them would make it harder when hopping and stuff on the front wheel

Suspension Forks are stylish, Also its less of a jar on the wrists and arms. They are sick for front wheel hopping and stuff like that. How much travel is ideal for trials? if any?
