Dear Mates,
Sometimes, riders do get a chronic stop riding disorder(CSRD), as you can see I had it for a while. Currently there is no cure for this disorder, the only suspected antitode is support from mates.
I've been riding since 96, and throughout the years, I've learnt that the only way to improve is not by doing a sidehop 20 times in a row, but by improving your mental strength, having gone to the world championship and back several times, I've seen what separates the elite from the others is the will to reach greater heights.
When the will is greater than fear, you will see yourself jumping higher and further than you ever did, aside from physical practice, mental practice is just as important, before going into a section, rehearse the section in your mind, like speed climbers doing a fast ascent, they do a game plan in their mind before going head to head with the competitors.
Imagine yourself sidehoping or bashing a certain obstacle before you actually do it, you would have done it perfectly in your head, now compare the differences with what you actually did and adjust to elimate the differences. You will see you skill level pick up so fast you wanna say "damn i'm good".
Any opinions on this matter mates?
Harley
