on the way back from cooma
something went wrong with the clutch
normally at 120ks it sits at about 3.5 grand when a hill come up the torque of the engine made the clutch slip and all or a sudden it was doing 5.5 grand but still at 120ks
its leakin oil and some sort of clear fluid but its not from the radiator .
buggar
so im gunna try to book it in to get fixed but i dont know when
we need a back up vehicle (s) in case my isnt fixed

dang. the polo was fine  i dont know about driving the polo to victoria, and my parents need the magna, so i have no vehicles :S |

well mine is the obvious choice but the problem with that is i can only take 2-3 people with bikes. 3 is a squeeze. we were going 135, no troubles with trusty old corona. i really need a service too before i drive a car that far.

sounds like your clutchey mc wutchi is gone. Sure the clear fluid wasnt just water from the airconditioner?

i took it out to subaru today and the clear fluid was from the airconditioner
and the cluthch is goooone but its still the original one not bad
also the oil is from the cv joint sprayed into the exhaust because the boot wears out occasionally and thats the bad smell.

ok mi subi isgettin a new clutch tomorrow ;D
so
1. if 5 of us go we can take the subi with a trailer
2. or if there is 6 two cars
3. hiring a tarago between 6 but where are the bikes goin ?

I was thinking that today, given that there are, in fact, two fairly distant accomodation locations. Ash and I will leave Friday morning, hope to get there by 4pm for the 4x.

ok not good so far the gear box case is now worn and it cant be fixed (long story)

ill see if there is any chance of getting mums car, most that could possibly hold is 3, but more realisticly 2.
