Hey Nick good to hear from you! i saw some rad photos of you climbing without dreads! i've just started to get back into the hoppy hoppy and have been riding some bmx during my break from it. i'm doing fairly heavy physio that makes my shoulder stronger but if i don't do it for a few days i can feel it get weak again (i think i sleep retardedly and that stretches my shoulder a bit).
have you given away trials? we have finally started filming for a video which will be a nice change from nothing and i've become more interested in the video side since beginning my media production course at CIT. i might go to melbourne to film school after even?
anyway good to hear from you. do you still keep in contact with (or call) pv? (geddit everyone at pt elliot?)

haven't spoken to the peevster in a wee while. I came down here to train for an Underwater Hockey comp in South Africa so I've been to that and we came second to NZ (but beat SA), so now I'm just living down here. I have given away the old trialsness due to a bike shortage and a fat interest in climbing and skiing. I was pretty busy with the training etc before the comp but now that I have some time I have been intending to get in touch with the local melbourne crew (darren and randal et al). I have got spare space in my house so if any of you guys are up for a melbourne trip then there is accomodation available, just let me know in adv.
Melbourne rocks for the bike types (not really sure for trials but as a commuting option it is great, ie flat city and good traffic, take bike on trains etc.)

good to hear from you Nick, Melbourne is cool.
I spent the last half of last year in Paris - wasn't a climber before but Fontainebleau converted me :-)
I was there pretty much every week.
Good luck with the hockey n'all.

Joel, how good is climbing/fontainbleu (not that I have been there). The bouldering around canberra is not as good as font obviously but there is some pretty good stuff in black range out near hoskintown. You go to hoskintown and then keep going to forbes creek and keep following the road up the hill till you pass a sign telling you you are now in black range national park. Then a bit further on there is a gate on the right and a faint track which leads about 200m to some boulders with some good steep problems. There are a binch of other problems scattered about the area which is good fine grained granite. Check it.

ya, Alex, Teh Fayzor and I climbed a bit at blackrange the other day...turned into more of a bushwalk really, still good though.
anyway Font is incredible, the entire forest is enormous, and full of boulders. Trials on the western side - slightly smaller, but denser. Bouldering on the eastern side, huge standalone blocs with really well marked routes. Thousands of problems seriously, all marked. Up to a hundred different fields. To explore it all was too much, I generally stuck to a couple of fields which I could work my way up the grades.
Y'all should go sometime.

Thanks alex, Nick if you need a frame you can always have my my old green machine Its the best trials frame ever and steel too the way real bikes are made. Ones that dont break. Nick B knows what I'm talkin. You're an engineer you should also. Andre

Hey craigus (if that is your fake name),
no its just me down here, dad is still in Canberra. I came down to train for the Southern Hemisphere UWH (Underwater hockey that is for the uninitiated) championships (which we came second 2-1 in the final to NZ.) And decided to stay for a wee while.
Andre, that is indeed a good frame but I am still short a few other bits as well, but if I am in Canberra soon then I might look into it bro. Steel is Reel.
