well i was just removing my pedals to transfer them to my new cranks. problem is, these are the truvative cranks with the threaded insert...when i turn the wrench, the pedal comes out, along with the threaded insert because they both use the same thread.
anyone have any ideas for removing the inser6t from my pedal or have a non drive side platform pedal i can borrow?

don't they have two pin tool holes in the other side? Use an old spoke or coat hanger to stick in there. If not, just get some vice grips/pliers/whatever onto the insert and get it off. You probably want to keep the cranks but I imagine replacement inserts are easy to get, that's the whole point after all.

i'm just going to file it down on each side so i can get a spanner onto it, replacements are only a few dollars.
well the insert has seen better days but i now have 2 working pedals, went down kinda like a d3estructive freewheel removal ;D
now to hope i can get the BB out after i wrecked my last set of isis cranks...
