I am impressed, 6 consecutive laps, how many did the others do? I did 9 in the 40+ category, I was totally stuffed, but I'm happy with it, most I've ever done in a 24. I kept calling over to the couch. Well done on so many back to back laps.

heard canberratrials shouted at the couch once, many riders were having a chat as they went passed. Not a single rider got the trivia question right, how many engagement points in a chris king rear hub, however about 1 in 4 got how many spokes in a 32 hole wheel.
There were some drunk idiots around at about 11 but then it was just me and darren till about 5, then i went to bed.

you didn't ask me the trivia questions. Thanks Jack, I think I'll try solo or pairs next year. Joel, those beers probably finished you off for good, but don't worry, I enjoyed myself out there and got my imperial century (160km, 100miles) so I'm happy. Jack, I think we got 14 laps in the end. - Joel

i only had one, there was something funky going on in the other one. i have no idea what happened, i couldn't do anything without feeling like i needed to yak. i think it was partly hunger, but just thinking about eating made me feel worse.
i'll be there again next year though for sure, hopefully with more than 60 minutes off road riding in the 12 months leading up to it too...
glad you enjoyed the extra laps too, i felt pretty bad about not being able to do more. you'll be glad to know we finished about a page above last place in 4's

PV, I'm looking at living at home for the rest of my life, although Laura wants to move out. Are you thinking about it? In the next year or two I'll be looking at buying a house rather than paying rent if possible, as soon as I snag a permanent APS5 or 6.

Joel, those times of yours are very tasty. Yes looking at the team you were almost solo anyway, but they all posted good times on single speeds and on a tough track. I was hoping to get 10 out but had some problems with nueromas and the worst asthma I've ever encountered. Still it's one more than last year and i did no real training for it, and next year I'm thinking of doing it single speed, I'm having my old GT Pantera done up as we speak. Great times go solo.

lots of GT panteras there - the old silver ones. two of them converted to SS.
I'm very glad they got that lap Joel as it was my fastest by the looks - 1:04. As for the other laps, I took 15min in between each of those 6 in a row, plus another long time after lap 11 for a coffee, porridge, chat and shower. Where did you get those results? I'm glad Luke and I managed to contrive a long final lap for him - or else I would have been going back out.
ed: nvm, found the results.
ed2: the shimano corporate team DNFd again! Just like last year! WTF?! Japanese stuff doesn't like the dust I suppose...

Yes mine is an old silver job, but I didn't see any others. They are actually quite light, and really tough. What gearing were you running Joel? And have you seen any sign of the stuff?

i was running 32:17, it was a bit light for most things, but at the end of each lap i was glad it was a little easier than 2:1.
the frame was supposed to of been sent a few weeks ago, but i'm still waiting for it to arrive. i just sent the dude a message to find out whats going on, so i'll let you know whats happening.

and I was running 32/16 - the most common SS gearing. If I were to solo it I would consider taking a 17t freewheel on the flop side of the wheel.
