Hi guys, according to the admin panel for the site, canberratrials.com will cease to exist as of 12 August 2007. I have no intention of renewing it this year. This forum will still exist. Click the link for more information. observedtrials.net/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=13I hope that the few people still interested in the trials scene in Canberra can organise rides and things. I hope the sites closing won't affect that in any way.

That's really sad to hear those vids were great, they really got me into the sport hopefully u can still get rides in when you can. All the best with the new house and good luck with everything else i guess i will have to make an account on the other site from now on. Cheers Andrew p.s on another note it appears i have cracked my rear hub on my 26" Trials bike but thats not all my rear wheel is basically reached its life span (buckled) and also my sprocket is almost perished. Does anyone have any parts or know of anyone i can contact to get new parts, I'm looking for basically an entire new real wheel setup that I can either buy or have if your generous enough Feel free to give me a call on 0415360439 if you know of anything

what sort of rear hub did you have Andrew? I don't remember, I'm losing my mind.
Sorry about the site Alexx, but you can be happy in the knowledge that you have given the trials scene in Canberra, Australia and the world a great asset and you have inspired many many riders (and filmmakers) over the years. The site will be missed but the videos live on, and I wish you the best of luck with this phase in your life. It's great to hear.

It was a 'fixed' rear hub, my dad and I went down to the Tuggas bike shop to see if they could true the wheel but they showed me the crack on the hubs walls, again I'm not good on the know-how of bikes but what he showed us looked pretty stuffed. The guy called some shop in Syd or in Canberra somewhere and they said they have nothing except for road racing hubs, and they recommended not to use one because they aren't strong enough. so yeah dunno what to do kind of running blind at the moment as to where to go.
Cheers Andrew

I checked the PM, you should ask Alexx that question dude. I'd be happy to be a part of it though, as a silent partner.

Hey Alex, Thanks for all the videos, they have been great entertainment and inspiration to get out and learn trials.
Hey Jack and Joel, if you guys are thinking about continuing the canberra trials site, I'd be willing to help out with renewal costs and with website design and maintenance (I do it as a day job).

yeah I'd be happy to help pay the ongoing hosting fees to keep the videos and content alive. Maybe I'd even find something to contribute in terms of content. I can't do any tech stuff though, my web knowledge stops at HTML 4.0.

Alex can you contact me about the site, seems as if there are three of us who could maybe keep it going. James, I'm interested, and Joel, but as with Joel my tech knowledge is even less, mainly 'cause I'm 30 years older. So James, you would be the techie guy. As for being a silent partner, just a scroll through your posts would make light of that statement. Fork sounds just right, how do I contact Ash? Buggered my back down the coast, hopefully it will be fixed up this week. Be in touch guys and lets see if we can keep this site going, cheers Jack

I'm happy to be tech guy and front some cash for the hosting/domain name renewal. It would be great to keep the site alive as I think it's a good resource.
PM me with any costs etc.

Alexx, care to keep the site in your name and have no other part in it? You have put in so many years of work and money for no return, sounds like it's time to give someone else the task.

Alex has been in touch with me and so I think we should all meet up, and fix it up, you are right Joel. Did I say that? Where and when?
